Background
Despite having multiple carbon accounting solutions out there, the uptake of it is still low in Singapore.
ESG Data fragmentation is the key as ESG data is often scattered, inconsistent, unverifiable and often inaccessible
Sector silos - there is a lack of collaboration between public and private sectors
Scalability barriers - companies, especially SMEs face significant challenges accessing ESG solutions, often not top of mind
Hence, there is a huge ESG data gap
We are in the process of making a basic pack as a floor for any SME to kickstart their sustainability journey for free as a Singapore national utility that appeals to stakeholders in the supply chain. In this systemic approach, we are taking first the SMEs to be aware and start their journey.
For a more impactful journey, an SME would need to act to offset their carbon footprint. This involves an ecosystem and marketplace approach such as Financial Institutes (FIs), Corporates and Governments for this to succeed. We are currently in the process of building the marketplace platform.
Solution
As such I designed and launched Gprnt (pronounced greenprint), an ongoing ESG-AI national utility data platform launched by Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) supported by Microsoft. Complete a basic pack with 6 simple steps via our integrated sources (government MyInfo Business) and partners, auto-fill quantitative data and AI-generate qualitative data.
I'm currently leading the design team at Gprnt platform, building a marketplace ecosystem, expanding our marketing efforts, directing graphic and art direction, spearheading user research and consultations, revamping our website and many more. Visit www.gprnt.ai for more details.
