Background

KPMG audit valuation process is only a small part of the whole annual auditing cycle. However, it is currently a very manual process with many spreadsheets and multiple clearance hurdles to climb before it is approved. The internal Singapore audit team came to us for an answer. This project was presented as part of KPMG Global's initiatives in improving the audit process with AI.

Approach

• Deep-dived on requirements with 2-3 different business units (Audit Team, Audit Heads, Corporate Finance. Team) to understand current processes and workflows.

• Prioritized requirements across project timeline and created a product backlog roadmap for future enhancements.

• Aligned and based the design approach with the data team on existing excel sheet formatting.

• Proposed two phased approach as a computational toolkit and a longer term LLM approach powered by AI.

Solution

• Straightforward and consolidated approach for all audit teams to use powered by LLM-AI data and insights.

• Collaborative multi-user approach with key targets required of audit team.

• Dashboard map-view interface to keep users up to date on Singapore-location based valuations.

• Actionable insights and community segment to discuss and align on processes.

• Verified, sanitised and benchmarked data across audit teams with the help of LLM.

• Simple 4-step approach of select method and approach, input and upload data, preview and finalise.
